CUDA

NVIDIA’s platform for running programs on its GPUs — PyTorch and TensorFlow use it under the hood.

CUDA is NVIDIA’s software platform that lets ordinary programs run across a GPU’s thousands of cores. Most AI libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX) use it internally.

You rarely write CUDA yourself — in PyTorch, model.to("cuda") is enough to move a model onto the GPU.

Example

Run torch.cuda.is_available() in a notebook — on ComputeBD it prints True.
