Jamdani, the fine muslin weaving of Dhaka, was inscribed by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2013. Its motifs repeat on a strict grid, which makes it a good teacher for AI: this notebook trains SDXL to produce tileable, seamless patterns in Jamdani geometry.
What you do
- Collect openly licensed Jamdani images (attribution list included).
- Train a LoRA and generate patterns you can repeat across a fabric or page.
Good to know
- Generated patterns are inspired by the tradition; real Jamdani is woven by hand, and weavers deserve the credit.
- About 45–75 minutes of training on an AI Computer with 24 GB of memory.
