Make a computer speak Bangla. This notebook uses Indic Parler-TTS (Apache-2.0) to turn text into speech, where you describe the voice in words — "a calm female voice, clear recording" — instead of copying a real person.
What you do
- Generate speech for sample sentences and different voice descriptions.
- Save the audio and listen back.
Voice cloning, honestly
- We did not find a Bangla voice-cloning model with a licence we could verify, so this notebook ships no cloning code.
- Copying someone's voice without written permission is impersonation and can be illegal. On ComputeBD, use only your own voice or one you have written permission to use.
A 24 GB AI Computer is enough. The model is gated on Hugging Face.
