1 · Terracotta palette

Warm earth tones inspired by the terracotta and brick of Lalbagh Fort, with rickshaw teal and red as accents. Text always uses the dark ink on cream, which passes WCAG AA contrast.

2 · Rickshaw-paint border

A thin band of red, marigold and teal — the stripes you see on a rickshaw back — frames important cards. It is purely decorative (hidden from screen readers) and never carries meaning on its own.

3 · Squircle buttons and alarm cards

Material 3’s big rounded shapes, drawn as squircles (smooth, continuous corners) where the browser supports it, and as ordinary rounded corners everywhere else. Touch targets are at least 48 px.

4 · Pecha, the owl guide

Pecha (from hutum pecha, the wise owl of Bangla storytelling) appears where people may feel lost: error pages, empty states and GPU-choice hints. The artwork is original to ComputeBD. Blinking stops for anyone who has asked their device to reduce motion.

5 · Bilingual typography

Plus Jakarta Sans for English and Hind Siliguri for Bangla, both self-hosted (no third-party font requests) and both open-licence (SIL OFL). Hind Siliguri is drawn to sit comfortably next to Latin letters, so mixed lines such as “GPU মেমোরি 24 GB” keep an even rhythm. We give Bangla slightly more line height because its marks sit above and below the line.
